Experimental validation of bulk-graphene as a thermoelectric generator

Abstract Quest for alternate energy sources is the core of most research activities these days. No matter how small or large amount can be produced by utilizing non-conventional techniques and sources, every bit innovation reshape future energy. In this work, experimental analysis thermoelectric (TE) properties bulk-graphene in temperature range (303 to 363) K presented. Graphene powder was pressed form a pellet which used fabricate TE device. The effects on Seebeck coefficient, electrical thermal conductivities, dimensionless figure merit (FOM) were measured. increasing value coefficient (thermopower) with indicant metallic behavior. Additionally, observed thermopower (TEP) positive, shows that majority charge carriers are holes peaked 56 μ V −1 at 363 K. four times larger than previously reported values single layer graphene (SLG) few (FLG). addition this, low conductivity one requirements good material. Besides an upward trend FOM, attains peak 0.0016 K, almost ten values.
